Dr. Gregory Poi

CONSULTANT SCIENTIST | SINGAPORE

Dr. Gregory Poi

Director at Biofilm Engineering Technology Consultancy Services Private Ltd (BETeCS). Primary area of technical interest is in the sustainable bioremediation of petroleum hydrocarbon-contaminated sites with a focus on translation and scale-up.

Completed a total of 3 large-scale industrial projects that focused on the rehabilitation of petroleum hydrocarbon contamination in soil, groundwater and in the biotreatment of industrial wastewater. Dr.Poi is currently involved in 2 new projects in the mitigation of environmental pollution using green biotechnology.

His current portfolio includes R&D work, industrial consultancy, and collaboration with industrial partners. Dr. Poi holds two patents for the bioremediation of petroleum hydrocarbon-contaminated soil and water in Singapore, both of which as licenced to BETeCS (2021-2022).
